Lenovo Vibe K5: Full specs, features, price and everything you need to know

Lenovo today launched Vibe K5, which is a successor to the A6000 smartphone. The latest smartphone comes after an array of premium smartphones launched by the company.

In the last one month Lenovo has launched several smartphones including Zuk Z1,Moto G4 Plus, and earlier this week, Moto Z and Moto Z Force.

Unlike the other phones, the Vibe K5 is a budget offering. However, it packs in decent hardware. Before reviews and previews start coming in, we give a you detailed look at the innards of the phone and what makes it special at its price tag.

 Specifications:


  1. Processor: The smartphone comes with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor. Interestingly, most of the phones that carry Snapdragon 415 are priced at around Rs 10,000.
  2. RAM: The Vibe K5 has 2GB DDR3 RAM.
  3. Internal storage: The phone comes with 16GB of memory. The internal storage is expandable up to 32GB using microSD card.
  4. Display: The phone has a 5-inch IPS display. The screen has a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels. The screen has 450nits brightness.
  5. Rear camera: The Vibe K5 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash.
  6. Front camera: The phone carries a 5-megapixel camera on the back
  7. Weight and build: The phone is built with aviation grade aluminium alloy and weighs in at 142 grams. Total thickness of the phone is 7.99mm, which is slightly thicker than what has become a common trend.
  8. Software: The Vibe K5 runs Vibe UI based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
  9. Battery: The phone is backed with a 2,750mAh battery. The company claims it can be put on standby for 15 days. It is also able to give 32 hours of call time on 2G network, 12 hours of music playback, and 6.2 hours of video playback.
  10. Price: The phone has been priced at Rs 6,999, the same as its predecessor, A6000.

-- The Vibe K5 supports Lenovo's TheatreMax Technology, which means the phone can be used with ANTVR headset for virtual reality experience.

-- The phone has Dolby Atmos support, thus it will offer an enhanced music experience to the user.
