Here's another budget Android smartphone from Micromax, the A44
Superfone Punk. The specifications for the phone aren't very different
from what's already available in the budget Android
smartphone category.
But this is the company's cheapest Android phone till date.
The
dual-SIM device runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) powered by an 800MHz
processor with 256MB RAM. It features a 2.0MP camera, FM Radio, a
1200mAh battery claiming 4 hours of talktime, 140MB internal memory and
external memory expansion up to 32GB via microSD. There is no front
camera on the device. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1
and GPRS.
The device supports multiple video recording formats
such as 3gp, 3gpp and mp4. It comes with a motion sensor and a mobile
tracker as well.
The A44 weighs 120gms and has a unique pebble
design. The smartphone sports a 3.14-inch full touch screen display with
a QVGA resolution.
At such a low price, Micromax has made the effort to
bundle in a pair of cool behind-the-neck headphones too. It is available
in two colours of black and white.
